The Southeastern Universities Research Association (SURA) awards up to $13,800 each to eight students in master's or doctoral programs whose research interests correspond to research at the Jefferson Lab in Newport News, Virginia. Seven awards are for nuclear physics related research at the Jefferson Lab and one is for materials science and engineering related to the Free Electron Laser program at the Lab.
