National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship Program

The Department of Defense awards three-year graduate fellowships to students demonstrating ability and special aptitude for advanced training in science and engineering. Fellowships will be awarded to doctoral students pursuing degrees in mathematical, physical, biological, ocean and engineering sciences who are US citizens. The fellowship stipend is $18,500 for 2000-2001, increasing by $1,000 each year. The deadline for application each year is January 15.
