b. Research Protocol Review Form for Research Involving HUMAN SUBJECTS
4. Defend THESIS/PROJECT Proposal

1. Verify that your POS has been received by the Graduate School and APPROVED electronically by your committee. [NOTE: FINAL DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS 4:45 P.M. ON GRADUATION DAY THE TERM BEFORE YOU PLAN TO GRADUATE]
2. Submit a GRADUATION CHECK on GAAAP. [NOTE: FINAL DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS 4:45 P.M. ON GRADUATION DAY THE TERM BEFORE YOU PLAN TO GRADUATE]
THESIS/MAJOR PROJECT REVIEW: CYCLE OF EVALUATION AND REVISION – DON’T FORGET TO USE THE ELECTRONIC THESIS/DISSERTATION GUIDE, IF NEEDED, AND YOUR DEPARTMENT HANDBOOK
1. Submit a copy of your thesis/major project presentation to your committee chair for review before presenting to the full committee
2. Full committee receives , reads, and evaluates thesis/project
3. Complete revisions to your thesis as recommended by your committee
4. Submit corrected copy of thesis in pdf format for format check to thesis@auburn.edu, if required [check GRADUATE SCHOOL CALENDAR for deadlines]
| Defend Thesis: Final Oral Exam |
1. Schedule and defend final oral exam [THESIS DEFENSE]/PROJECT PRESENTATION
a. After your defense your committee will complete and submit the non-thesis master’s final examination form [Form 8 (pdf)] or the thesis master’s final examination form [Form 9] -- [Check GRADUATE SCHOOL CALENDAR for deadlines]
2. Print and complete the Auburn University Electronic Thesis/Dissertation Final Approval Form (pdf) for committee members signatures and submit to the Graduate School
3. Submit thesis on AUETD
4. BE REGISTERED FOR AT LEAST ONE HOUR IN THE TERM OF DEFENSE

2. Submit final report to the office of the vice-president for research if human or animal subjects were used
3. Receive your degree
