Announcement from Dr. Katz

Judd Katz announced that he has been selected Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at AUM. He is resigning from the ACGD.

Change in Officers for 2005-2006

It was moved that John Schmitt would move up from Vice Chair/Chair Elect to Chair. The Executive Committee passed the resolution unanimously. Debra Moriarity was nominated and unanimously approved to fill the position of Vice-Chair/Chair Elect. Those actions left vacant the position of Member At-Large, which would be filled at the next regular meeting of the ACGD on November 2, 2005.

Treasurer’s Report

Dr. Joe Wilkins disseminated copies of the treasurer’s report. As of October 5, 2005, the total funds on hand amounted to $4,505.64.
Agenda for the November 2, 2005 ACGD Meeting

The main order of business for the remainder of the meeting was the agenda for the November 2 Council meeting. The Executive Committee decided on the following as a preliminary agenda:

Statement by Judd Katz to the Council and introduction of his replacement

Offices of Chair and Vice-Chair/Chair-Elect; Selection of Member-At-Large

Roundtable discussion on graduate student orientation; topic to be introduced by Judd Katz and Glen Ray

Roundtable discussion on Uses of the Graduate Council; topic to be introduced by John Schmitt

Topics for Discussion at Spring Retreat
